About & Mission
The Faculty of Information Technology is one of the leading training and research units of Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, focusing on computer science, software engineering, networking and information security.
The unit’s mission is to train high-quality information technology professionals, linking research with applications in earth sciences, resources and the environment.

1966
Originated as the Mathematics – Informatics Division in the University’s early days.
2007
Establishment of the Faculty of Information Technology from the informatics divisions.
2018
Launch of the Data Science programme and expansion of the AI – Robotics lab.

Achieved AUN-QA programme accreditation.
